God's Mercy

Aaron Hernandez, Former NFL star.
His struggle, his sin, and his hope.

Allow me to present what Jesus Christ has done for mankind as He sacrificed Himself to be crucified for the sin of ALL of us. God is merciful and He will forgive all who call upon His name. This "forgiveness" is for ALL, you the reader, Aaron Hernandez and me, as written in John 3:16.

Aaron Hernandez was at the end of his "rope" so to speak. He was addicted to drugs etc. had a child with a girl to whom he was not married, had a male partner, was a murderer. In other words his life had become a total mess.

After he ended up in jail he must have realized that his life was over, and that all his opportunities had flown out of the window.

Besides ruining lives of others he had now ruined his own life as well... period! April, 2017

Aaron Hernandez must have been in total agony for all he had done in the past and he grabbed the Bible which was in his cell and began reading:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him, shall NOT perish but has everlasting life.

He was reaching out for God's forgiveness and help, as he showed by his post of the Scripture he read and wrote on his forehead. DO NOT think that Hernandez did not pay attention.

It showed clearly that he was seeking help from God.

At that moment Hernandez must have cried out unto God the Father in a similar act as the thief did who was hanging on the cross beside Jesus.

And he said unto Jesus: "Lord, remember me when Thou comest into Thy kingdom." And Jesus said unto him, "Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:42,43)

Do NOT judge others in advance. Do NOT think too little of God's Mercy and Grace. Check your own heart and read God's word. He is far more merciful than anyone who judges others before checking their own heart and soul. Most important is that the Father, God Almighty knew the heart of Aaron Hernandez.

And that is ALL what matters.

After seriously meditation of the Scriptures, and the life and struggle of Aaron Hernandez, especially what he did by reading God's Word at the end of His life, makes me believe that his soul was saved the same way as the thief hanging on the cross right beside Jesus, the Christ.

Psalms 86:5 “For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee.”

Indeed: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him, shall NOT perish but has everlasting life.
John 3:16
