Our Pains

OUR PAINS AND HURTS

O cloudy day
when things go wrong
and nothing comes my way

O me , O my
when I feel sad
and only want to cry

O blessed heart
when things do hurt
it nearly falls apart

O my dear soul
you're down again
when are you getting whole

On bended knee
my dear poor me
you'll only get the victory

Don't forget that believers, NOT The Lord, get themselves in certain situations and problems, because of their disobedience unto His word, lack of holiness, stubbornness, worldliness, insensitivity to the Holy Spirit etc. A lot of pain and agony is flooding the lives of believers due to sin, which they have allowed in their hearts and lives.

Catch us the foxes, The little foxes that spoil the vines, For our vines have tender grapes. Song of Solomon 2:15

Proverbs 4:4... Let your heart hold fast My words; keep My commandments and live.

John 15:7... If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Born-again believers have to learn to obey God and walk in His ways. If we are not too willing, the Lord allows a few pains here and there. We know this so well ourselves, don't we? Sin is dirty and satan is merciless. Often the pain is a consequence of sin. Nevertheless, the Lord uses any opportunity to draw the attention of His children and bringing them closer to Himself.
Sometimes, because of stubbornness, believers may have to hit their head hard before they totally surrender and learn to deny the flesh, allowing The Lord to be Master in their lives.

If you are not willing to learn, painful events will be repeated, years will be lost, struggle will continue, frustration will be all around. DO NOT ALLOW satan to interfere in your heart, soul or spirit, concerning any problems you may have, or how you are treated by others. You have to shake it all off, and allow the Lord to take over.

You may ask yourselves sometimes why you're going through certain stages. But you must pay attention to what is happening to you and take direction from it in order to reach for higher ground, to dedicate more to Him, to lose more of "self", to keep your old flesh buried, and to walk in His will.
Don't run right away to God with the question: "Why me?" or "It's not fair!" Stop... and first check what you did or didn't do which may have added to the bad situation. Don't ask: "Where was God?" NO, ask yourself: "Where was I?" Don't forget either that it is His LOVE by which He wants to bring you closer to Himself.

How come some believers don't see their prayers answered, or are so much attacked by the enemy?

First of all I want to remind you that, if there is a solid defense system the enemy has a hard time getting in. Every time he tries he will be defeated, but if there is a weak spot, soft place and deterioration satan has an easy way getting in.
 These cracks in the defense system have come about over the years, through some, all or more of the following, just to mention a few:

* not totally surrendered to God's will
* lukewarm walk with God
* lack of dedication
* lack of knowledge of God's word
* disobedience unto His word
* neglecting the word of God
* taking God's warnings too lightly
* unforgiving
* compromising with the world
* tolerance for outright worldliness( friends, TV programs, books, magazines, movies, etc)
* giving in to sin
* wrong confession
* consequences of past sin (not per-se attack of satan)

We have to pay attention to the following scriptures and apply God's word to our life, so we may benefit by it.

James 4:7... Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Galatians 6:7... Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Ephesians 6:11... Put on the WHOLE armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:12... For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Romans 13:12 ... Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

2 Corinthians 6:7 ... By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left.

1 Thessalonians 5:8 ... But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

Prevention is better than curing. Once sin and satan have found an entrance in one's life, family, marriage or other areas, it is so much harder to get this cleaned out and to restore the damage. You need to evaluate or reassess your situation, take your spiritual caulking gun and start repairing these cracks.
You may think that the above is not the case in your situation, but I dare to tell you that you're mistaken. For if we do not abide in God, He will not abide in us. God's word does not lie, so we have to look into our own bosom. Spiritual laws have great effect on us, the same as if you're caught stealing.
Go back and see where the cracks did come into existence, reverse it and clean it up, throw out that which is not pleasing unto the Lord, and prayerfully say: " Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:23,24.

Just as a child has to learn to abide by the rules of the house, so do we have to learn to abide in Him. We cannot learn without experiencing some pain. As a horse has its bridle to learn the direction in which the rider wants it to go, so do we have the Scripture, which pulls on our hearts and shows us the way.

Psalm 86:11...Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.

2 Timothy 2:15... Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Proverbs 9:6... Forsake foolishness and live, and go in the way of understanding.

You may think that prayer alone will solve your problems. But your prayer has to be accompanied by your walk and your confession. They are inseparable. When you play in a ball game, you better know the rules, or else you will be kicked off the team. Right? You have to study God's Word in order to find the rules, the keys, to walk in His Word to win, and to be victorious.

We would like to become an "instant" Victor, without too much hassle or effort. We prefer a smooth ride and for the Lord to take away the obstacles, rather than learning how to handle adversity.
The Lord has it all prepared for us. We, as believers have to act upon it. As followers of Jesus Christ, we have to put our faith into action. We have to be doers of the Word, not only hearers.
James 1:22... When we abide in Him, He will abide in us. This means, He rules our lives and we must keep our old nature crucified.

Whatever action is required, according to His Word, we will be able to attain it, or else it would not be in HIS WORD. We have to start believing that what God says is TRUE.

Matthew 12:10 &13... Here was this man with the withered hand. Just visualize this. Now, Jesus is telling him to do something which he naturally could NOT do!! And He said to the man: "Stretch forth your hand." And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other. This is faith in ACTION, it is motion. The man started to do exactly that which he couldn't do.

John 8:11... Jesus said to the adulterous woman, "Neither do I condemn you, GO AND SIN NO MORE." Jesus wouldn't have commanded her this, if it was beyond her reach.

He has made a way through the guidance, teaching and power of the Holy Spirit. The Scripture doesn't say: "BE YE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT," for nothing! ONLY through His Spirit can we overcome.

If we try to pray people out of trouble they may never learn what the Lord is trying to teach them. The Lord looks at the end result and what He can accomplish through this mess. We always tend to look at the "NOW".

Although it saddens the Lord, it really does not matter to Him as much as it does to us, when we have to go through pains, as long as His purpose is accomplished. It is His Grace by which He brings His children to perfection. May the Lord be able to knead the clay in the shape desirable to Him.

Psalm 139:23,24... Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties, and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Indeed, the Lord is in control, but just as much as we allow Him to be. We have to develop a true reverence for God, so we may really give Him full control in our lives.
Allow your mind to meditate on His word, find a quiet place to seek His face. Withdraw yourself from the crowd and climb in the tree as Zacchaeus, the tax collector did. Get a glimpse of His holiness, and admire Him for His awesomeness, for He alone is worthy.

Psalm 2:11... Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psalm111:10... The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.

Be encouraged, beloved. Don't stare at what you see around you, or think. Don't look at your own limitations, your qualifications, your abilities or disabilities.
The Lord desires your surrendered will. Jesus is so wonderful, put your head to rest on His shoulder, lay your burdens before His feet, give Him your hopelessness, hand Him your dish of sin, allow Him to wipe away your tears.
Yes, allow Him to touch you, to heal, to restore, to uplift, to deliver you, to create something wonderful out of your mess, your pain, your sorrow, your grief. He did it before and He can do it again.

Isaiah 58:11... The LORD will guide you continually...and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.

LET US PRAY !
We rejoice in You, Father, for the end result. Teach us, Father, to walk in the direction of our prayers, by faith and according to Your word. We thank You that all things fall into place as we keep surrendering our will to Yours. As we look up into Your holy face we know that You will accomplish in our lives that which You have called us for. We glorify the wonderful name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. AMEN AND AMEN !!

Psalm 32:11... Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous; shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

God's word is a LOVE letter to you, NOT a whip to hurt
His outstretched hand is to help, NOT to slap
Jesus came to dry your tears, NOT to make you cry
He died to forgive your sins, NOT to point at them
He came to heal your wounds, NOT to make wounds
Jesus came to bring peace and take away your fears
