Deliverance

DELIVERANCE IS OF THE LORD !

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Psalm 91:14,15... Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

How does one know when he needs deliverance?

Deliverance is needed when there is something in a Christian's life which is not pleasing unto the Lord, and which is persistent. If a person cannot get victory over it, if it is bothersome and damaging to the relationship with the Lord and perhaps to others, I am suggesting to read on and follow the instructions below, which will assist you in obtaining the VICTORY.

It may be the need for deliverance from bad habits; powers which attack the mind; or anything that interferes in one's life that is not glorifying the Lord; it may be something which holds the person back from growing and developing in the Lord.

2Timothy 4:18... And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom: to Whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 34:17... The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.

How does a person go about getting deliverance?

The individual has to recognize the bondage or obstacle, and to really admit that something is wrong, bad or sinful etc.
  • One has to sincerely want to be delivered and genuinely willing to surrender that which is connected with it.
  • Confessing and Professing, I mean, speaking out sins and receiving cleansing by asking the Lord. Turning away from sin and sinful living.
  • Studying God's word, as one would do for an exam, or as learning the rules of an Olympic game, meditate on it and seek the Lord's face.
  • Perhaps, fasting as desired.
  • Applying God's promises to one's life and obey the scriptures. There are also obligations to the Lord, which often are overlooked...... If you obey My word, I will listen to you and answer.....
  • Building up one's faith and do not waver, because without faith we cannot please the Father.
  • Professing with the mouth that which is written for the believers, quoting the scriptures and even reminding the Lord about His own word.
  • Expecting the MOST from the Lord, expecting the IMPOSSIBLE from Him.
  • Finding a reliable source; dedicated believers and followers of Jesus Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, to assist with the steps to be taken toward deliverance. This process may require the laying on of hands and/or casting out demons.
  • Walking in the direction of your prayers, believing that it will be answered.

Remember, God's word is a LOVE LETTER to you.

2Peter 2:9....The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgement.

Colossians 1:13... He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.

Out of man's misery, the Lord can create something beautiful.
That, which is impossible with man, is possible with God.

We only see as far as our nose, the Lord has a wide view and sees beyond the hills. We tend to focus on our limitations, but God is unlimited.

The Lord does not need our abilities to get things done, He desires our surrendered will.

When we read a book, all we see are words, but when we read His promises, allowing it to saturate, they can become alive and sustain us. His word has the POWER to refresh our soul and heal our body.

Below are some helpful scriptures:
Is there anything too hard for the Lord ? Genesis 18:14

Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments and live. Proverbs 4:4

In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. Psalms 147:3

I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10

Jesus said, "Go your way; let it be done to you as you have believed. Matthew 8:13

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you. John 15:7

All things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you. Mark 11:24

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Psalm 50:15

The scriptures which state what we are IN CHRIST are not just provisions, promises, or possibilities. They are realities! No matter if you are aware of this or not. For these realities to become beneficial to you, you have to recognize them.

You have to meditate on these scriptures and make them your own, profess them. Walk and act according to the profession of your mouth.

Be encouraged, have faith in God!

Don't stare at what you see, or think. Don't look at your own limitations, your own abilities or disabilities. The Lord desires your surrendered will. Give Him ALL your burdens, great and small.

Give Him the opportunity to create something beautiful out of your mess, your disappointments, your grief, your troubles.
Allow Him to heal you, to restore you, to deliver you, to raise you up. Allow Him to change your weakness into strength. Become a VICTOR in the power of the Holy Spirit. He called you to be just THAT.
Let Him make it true in your life, so His name will be glorified by anyone who recognizes it. You are not left behind as an orphan, but the Lord left you His Holy Spirit, His promise, His word.
Grab the VICTORY in Jesus Christ.

JESUS is standing with outstretched hands, ready to rescue you.

God's Word provides direction and encouragement, the Holy Spirit provides power to overcome.

Have faith in God!
